Why Sensory?

Sensory analysis provides valid and reliable (and relatively inexpensive) information about the perceived sensory properties of products to marketing, R&D, and production teams with the goal of making better business decisions.

Sensory techniques can be used for a variety of purposes including the evaluation of product for acceptability, potential alternatives for products, problem solving, advertisement claim substantiation, and ongoing quality assessment to list a few.

Our goal is to work with our clients through the entire project cycle and identify what tests are applicable as needed. We often find that there are internal laboratory or descriptive panel techniques that can be used in place of more expensive and time-consuming consumer tests.

Including sensory work into the project and product flow, can save time and money, assure consistency and result in effective product development. Adnan can also set up a sensory program if you don’t have one as well as identify and train your sensory team.

Data Collection and Statistics:

Many companies in the F&F industry use Sensory and Consumer testing data collection software, such as: Compusence, SIMS and FIZZ.  These data collection tools can also provide basic statistical analysis and graphic reports. If needed, we can also provide full guidance with paper ballots and manual data entering procedures for Sensory Evaluation and Consumer testing. Adnan has extensive experience with most of these data collection systems and can ensure that the client is using these in the most useful way to gain maximum results.

With our Sensory and Consumer insights, our focus is to indicate which product parameters under the developer’s supervision need to be changed and how to make a link between product characteristics and consumer acceptance versus sales and business initiatives.
